Cedar Master Standard Installation method

1 Cedar Master Shakes (Handsplit or Tapersawn Shakes)

Be sure that the roof structure is properly prepared Rafters spacing must be 100 cm apart (at most) Purlins or Battens (wooden or steel) spacing must be 40.60 cm apart Eaveboard should be installed befare Cedar installation

1.1 Installation of Subroof - OSB Boards onto purlins Allow OSB Boards edge to be sit on purlins center
1.2 Install the first row of Paper Felt horizontally (Start from the eave )

1.3 Install the first row of Cedar Shakes with Double layer (Starter Course)

1.4 Interlay Paper Felt altogether with each course of Cedar Master Shakes
1.5 Completed Cedar Master Shakes Roof
2 Cedar Master Shingles

Be sure that the roof structure is properly prepared Rafters spacing must be 100 cm apart (at most) Purlins or Battens (wooden or steel) spacing must be 40.60 cm apart Eaveboard should be installed befare Cedar installation

2.1 Installation of Subroof - OSB Boards onto purlins Allow OSB Boards edge to be sit on purlins center
2.2 Underlay Paper Felt on top of OSB Board subroof to the whole roof area Allow each sheelt of Paper Felt to be overlapped at least 10 cm

2.3 Install the first row of Cedar Shingles with Double layer (Starter Course)

2.4 Install the next row of Cedar Shingles with only Underlay Paper Felt

2.5 Completed Cedar Master Shingles Roof
3 Soffit Exposed Installation for Cedar Master Shakes

Be sure that the roof structure is properly prepared Rafters spacing must be 100 cm apart (at most) Purlins or Battens must be wooden with 19 cm spacing for 24" Shakes or 12.5 cm for 18" Shingles Eaveboard should be installed before Cedar installation

3.1 Interlay paper felt with Cedar Shakes or Shingles course by course To avoid direct attack of sunlight to Paper Felt, do not expose paper felt in the Keyway of Cedar

3.2 No exposed Paper Felt in the keyways

3.3 Aesthetic installation both outside and Inside (underneath)
